The Broadmoor's Hayden-Hays Gallery has recently changed hands from its longtime trio of owners to part-time Springs resident John Marzolf.
The three co-owners, Elizabeth Kane, Norma Lee Quinlan and Kris Faricy opened the gallery in 1979, which has been a successful venue for contemporary traditional sculpture and painting. According to the press release, Marzolf of Arizona, plans to keep the main gallery's focus but add a second gallery on-site, the Hayden-Hays Western and Wildlife Gallery, slated to open in March.
Marzolf is the owner of the Biltmore Galleries in Scottsdale, which are known for it's Western collection of works by Charles M. Russell, Joseph Sharp and Ernest Blumenschein. The Hayden-Hays will feature works from the Biltmore for certain exhibits.
Overall though, " [the collection] will expand the collection at Hayden-Hays to also feature works that will appeal to everyone from the serious art enthusiast to the junior collector just getting started."
