Who doesn’t love Vampire Weekend? No one, of course! Which is why you’ll want to grab tickets to their newly announced Denver show the moment they go on sale this Friday.

The success of the Gotham-based band (who will play the Ogden on March 19) single-handedly brought Sperry Top-Siders and Lacoste sweaters back into fashion for several minutes, while their self-titled debut album effortlessly overcame the formidable challenge of making Paul Simon’s Graceland sound gritty and indigenous by comparison.

Contra, the group’s follow-up, is slated for release next Tuesday, but you can stream it right here, right now, over at NPR, where the band is thoughtfully described as “rich white boys in obnoxious shirts fumbling around with West African rhythms.” (Oh wait, no, that’s what they say other people are saying … )
