In the whirlwind since Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter announced this morning that he will not seek re-election, Ken Salazar's name has risen to the top of many speculative lists for possible replacements. The Pueblo Chieftain reports that U.S. Rep. John Salazar is putting his brother's name out there as an ideal candidate for the job.
Meanwhile, the Denver Post is saying that the White House has given the OK for Salazar, the former U.S. senator turned secretary of the Interior, to leave the administration.
