Interesting tidbit from a Religion Dispatches story that came out Tuesday.
Haggard credits his therapists, The Trials of Ted Haggard director Alexandra Pelosi, Oprah, and the secular media with offering the compassion and respect his family needed to rebuild their lives.
OK, so I know Haggard and Pelosi have known each other for a few years. And it's been a while since I've seen Pelosi's documentary. But still, I do remember thinking that in Trials, her enjoying Haggard's awkwardness was almost as hard to watch as Haggard himself.
Not that I should be surprised that Pastor Ted and I don't see things quite the same way ...
