David Wolske Artist Talk, 5-6 p.m., GOCA Downtown, 121 S. Tejon St., free,uccspresents.org.
’s current exhibition, Gadzook!,
has brought in a wide variety of printmaking artists, working in pioneering styles with centuries-old processes. David Wolske
, one of the exhibit’s featured artists, will present a talk on his printmaking technique during March’s First Friday reception. With a body of prints composed of clean lines and simple shapes, Wolske has perfected what he calls “isotype” printing, where he isolates part of a shape to print specific sections. This makes for an interesting layering effect that has won him accolades and awards across the nation.
