When kids have imaginary friends, they learn social skills and build creativity. But it’s widely recognized that imaginary friends in adulthood aren’t quite as endearing. If, for instance, an adult man introduced everyone he met to a six-and-a-half-foot-tall bunny rabbit named Harvey that no one could see but him? Well, that would raise some eyebrows. Such is the premise of Harvey, a 1945 play written by Mary Case, the only Colorado Woman to receive the Pulitzer Prize in drama. This heartwarming, silly and intelligent story will be Funky Little Theater Company’s final production in their original venue, so it’s a good chance to say farewell to the old space and enjoy a fabulous and well-loved show while you’re at it.
