Public Forum on Arts Censorship

When: Wed., Jan. 26, 5:30 p.m. 2011

With what happened in Tucson a couple weeks ago, freedom of expression is the topic du January in the political sphere. But in the art world, of course, it's a constant, with works emerging all the time that may offend, shock — and, in some cases, be censored. Spurred by recent examples, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center (30 W. Dale St., is hosting a Public Forum on Art Censorship in its Music Room at 5:30 tonight. It's free to attend, and features five guest speakers, including FAC president/CEO Sam Gappmayer and City Councilor Jan Martin. — Kirk Woundy
