Insane Clown Posse
  • Insane Clown Posse

pos|se (ps'e) n. [[ ML, short for posse comitatus, power of the county L posse, to be able (see POTENT) + comitatus, county comes, a COUNT2]] 1 [Historical] a) the body of men required, upon being summoned, to assist the sheriff in keeping the peace, pursuing felons, etc. b) a band of men, usually armed, so summoned: in full posse comitatus (km' tat's) 2 any body of persons armed with legal authority

While Insane Clown Posse is not endowed with legal authority, neither truly insane nor comprised of real clowns, their fan base certainly exceeds the amount of people required to start a full-fledged posse. Their fans, or "juggalos" as they are known, are the motivation behind almost everything J and Shaggy do. They travel with a giant funhouse-like box, through which fans must pass in order to get their ICP paraphernalia autographed. The theatrics are designed to enhance fans' journeys through the Dark Carnival, a musical experience that began with Carnival of Carnage eight years ago. One more collection of ICP's phat grooves, diverse soundscapes and bizarre raps will be released before the journey ends, and then the group guarantees that all musical hell will break loose.

Your chance to see Insane Clown Posse's grotesquely weird stage show before the encroaching end of the Dark Carnival is this Thursday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 -- call 447-9797 or visit www.ticketweb.com.
