National Museum of World War II Aviation tours

When: Nov. 2-Jan. 31 2013

a new museum featuring real aircraft from the WWII era, including a P47D Thunderbolt, TBM Avenger as well as aircraft undergoing restoration, such as the P38 Lightning. The museum is open only three days a week currently, and offers docent-led tours Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

Price: $5-$10, free for WWII generation
