MLK All People's Breakfast: "Courageous Conversations to Courageous Actions"

When: Mon., Jan. 20, 8 a.m. 2014

According to mlkday.gov, more Americans live in poverty now than during Dr. King's time. This is especially disheartening given that the man focused what would be the final months of his life on fighting poverty. However, on this day of service, you can discuss ways to help, inspire and collaborate at the MLK All People's Breakfast, kicking off at 8 at CC's Cornerstone Arts Center (825 N. Cascade Ave., coloradocollege.edu, $7) with Rev. Benjamin Broadbent. Later, at 7, Denver's Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble will perform a free MLK Day show with the Colorado Springs Chapter Choir of the Gospel Music Workshop of America at Armstrong Hall (14 E. Cache la Poudre St.) — Edie Adelstein

Price: $7
