Though shooting a man in Reno just to watch him die will certainly do the trick, people end up in prison for a wide variety of reasons. Once they're out, however, an entirely new set of trials and tribulations can begin.

Do you or does someone you know have experience with the prison system? Yes. I was in prison for five years for first-degree forgery.

Do you think there are any jobs ex-cons shouldn't work? No, they should work any job they want. If you did the crime, you did your time.

What is the hardest part of life after prison? Coming out with no money, no support.

Do you or does someone you know have experience with prisons? Yes. [A friend] was selling crack, got caught and went to jail.

Are the prisons generally overcrowded, or should more people be in jail? They're putting people in jail for things that are still a crime but they're not violent offenders. There are different ways to rehabilitate and punish these people.

What would you miss the most if you were in prison? Just the thought in my head that I didn't have the freedom to come and go.

Are the prisons overcrowded, or do you think more people should be in jail? I think we should make sure that we have enough space in jail to cover the criminals that are out there.

Are there any jobs ex-cons shouldn't work? It depends on what the crime was and what the job is.

What do you think the hardest part of adjusting to life after prison would be? The stigma that you've been rehabilitated, and trying to get a job and join society again.

Are the prisons generally overcrowded, or should more people be locked up? It seems to me that a lot of people are being released due to overcrowding, and I don't know that they should be released. They haven't paid their time for the crime.

Are there any jobs ex-cons shouldn't work? Depends on the job and the crime. ... Some jobs absolutely [they should], if the supervision is there.

What do you think the hardest part of adjusting to life after prison would be? Maybe coming back into society, feeling more connected again with a community. I don't know how you would do that. That would be very hard.
