Darwin & Dinosaurs

When: April 4-July 5 2009

For an event of this type, Darwin & Dinosaurs at the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center (201 S. Fairview St., Woodland Park) is pretty intelligently designed, having evolved from its specious origins into an obviously natural selection for our Seven Days section. In honor of Chuck Darwin's forthcoming 200th birthday, as well as the 150th anniversary of On the Origin of Species, noted Darwin scholar Dr. John van Wyhe will lecture at 7 tonight at the Ute Pass Cultural Center (220 W. South Ave., Woodland Park). Darwinian artifacts will be on display at RMDRC following the talk through July 5. Still no word on whether the Prankster God who ran around burying fossils to test our faith will make an appearance. Tickets are $25 ($15, members); visit rmdrc.com for more. Bill Forman

Price: $7.50-$11.50
