Welcome to the Indy's 2010 Drink Guide, a product that surely would have been more fun to produce had my co-hort Bryce Crawford and I actually sampled all "the goods" about which we were writing.
This year's concept — given current unemployment figures and all — was built largely around happy hour, a friend to all financial portfolios. But this liquid log also includes a rundown of wine bars, coffee and tea houses, and live music offerings. We've also included a few portraits of interesting ideas, people and contraptions related to our local drink scene.
If you see purveyors missing from our list, it's probably because they're hard-partyin' suckas who haven't checked their voicemail in more than three weeks. But feel free to direct grievances (or praise!) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
I'd conclude by advising you to not drive drunk and all that conventional stuff you already know, but that's as weak as places that don't offer happy hours at all. (Yes, there are many.) So instead, I'll just say: Enjoy those Red-Headed Sluts and Velvet Panties!
