Where to celebrate ‘Grown in Colorado’ all summer long

In the most miserable depths of winter, at least one of us starts dreaming about the Old Colorado City farmers market — how she can grab breakfast with friends somewhere along the avenue, check out a great book from the old Carnegie library, then hike over into the happy, white-tented bustle at Bancroft Park.

In these fantasies, all of her neighbors are there, with their kids and dogs and grannies, picking the perfect bunch of greens, a basket full of Palisade peaches, yellow squash for the barbie, an herb plant for the porch.

Granted, peach season's a ways away. But otherwise, the wait is almost over.
