Soccer anyone? Ragain Sports
, an enthusiastic supporter of the most expensive project from the City for Champions proposal, a downtown stadium, is asking the city's approval to upgrade a soccer field just north of Security Service Field.
City Council is slated to get a briefing on the project during a meeting Tuesday afternoon.
In it, backers call the proposal a "win for the city, win for soccer, win for the Sky Sox, win for the Switchbacks," Ragain's team.
Ragain proposes to add bleachers, a press box and other improvements. But the Sky Sox wrote a letter to the city raising concerns. "The two concerns expressed were that of potential noise from the public address system and lighting issues related to how long the soccer games may last into the evening."
