Apparently I've missed the listing that's been running in the daily paper for the last month, so if you did too, here's the news: The Gazette wants to hire a new restaurant critic to replace current writer MB Partlow. We're not sure why she's going, but wish her the best.

In the meantime, says editor Joe Hight, the newspaper "is now reviewing potential candidates," he writes in response to an inquiry. "The current one will remain with us until a successor is found." Those interested should write A&E editor Tracy Mobley-Martinez (tracy@coloradosprings.com) with a cover letter and résumé.

Here's the full text of the ad. Disregard the contact info:
RESTAURANT CRITIC
Restaurant critic wanted to write weekly reviews for the GO! section of The Gazette. Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred, but foodies and adventurous home cooks will also be considered. Established writing skills and confidence with weekly deadlines are required. Must also be an enthusiastic user of social media. Send resume and several examples of your writing to humanresources@gazette.com. Please include ‘reviewer’ in the subject line.
