is back at GOCA
on Wednesdays, starting Feb. 19. ChitChat has grown into a very popular series at GOCA. For the uninitiated, it's a series of “mash-up talks on contemporary culture and DIY.” Each week at 7, two experts will speak on decidedly different topics with a hands-on component, as well as snacks, wine and beer.

• In the Hall of the Mountain King
, a children’s book written by Colorado Springs Conservatory
and kindergaren teacher Allison Flannery
, will be performed at the Classical Academy
tomorrow by the Denver-based Colorado Conservatory of Dance
, which adopted Flannery's book for the stage. The book is inspired by the musical score by Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg
and Henrik Ibsen
's play Peer Gynt
The ballet will be performed for students earlier in the day, but then again for the public
at 3:45 p.m. at TCA’s east campus at 12202 Cross Peak View.
• Earlier this week, THEATREdART
announced that it's leaving its space at 128 N. Nevada Ave. In a release sent from artistic director Brian Mann
, TdA thanks Vintage Realities
for leasing the group the space affordably and explains that the rest of the company's season will be adjusted as it looks for spaces to perform.
No clear reason was given. We'll update this blog as we know more.
• This Friday, of course, is the first Friday of the month, with a full slate of art openings happening across town. One show that didn't make it into the paper by press time is the two-gallery exhibit devoted to the work done by students at the ModboCo School of Art

will also display.
