MasterChef comes calling in Denver

If you're willing to brave an application that reads more like you're applying to the Culinary Institute of America, then good news: MasterChef is coming to Denver to cast for its fifth season. Those three handsome gentlemen pictured above will be at the Crowne Plaza Denver Downtown from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2.

You might remember Colorado Springs boasted its own contestant in an earlier season: Joey Stasolla, owner of Joey's Pizza, who judge Gordon Ramsay complimented by saying, "You've got every right to be cocky, arrogant and very smart, because that was delicious."

Here's the link for casting specifics, though I'm a bigger fan of the tip given to Westword by casting producer Erika Landin:

10. Don't try to be cute. There was one person who auditioned and brought Cheerios. This show isn't a joke, and if you're auditioning, you shouldn't be, either. We take this seriously, and so should anyone auditioning. And don't wear your pajamas.
