The best downtown video you've (probably) never seen

Here's something you don't see every day: A local promotional video with high production values that's not filled with grating music, embarrassingly framed references, or plastic people with cheesy grins. Luckily enough, the Downtown Partnership just released such a piece — "Every Day Downtown Colorado Springs," created by Magneti Marketing — and it's really quite charming.

Local rolling luminary Allen Beauchamp welcomes us into a continuous stream of downtown living, highlighted by buzzwords like "commute," "admire" and "family." Modbo/S.P.Q.R. co-owner Brett Andrus points at art, Economic Vitality specialist Aimee Cox hollers at her homey at City Hall, and a woman runs out of a Runners Roost without paying for her shoes. It's magical. Plus you get a pretty dope look at one of those downtown lofts somebody can apparently afford to live in.

I snark, but it's a pretty great four minutes, so live it up.
