Anti-fracking faction takes message to City Hall

As reported here last week by Pam Zubeck, a rally was planned for earlier today in opposition of proposed fracking in Colorado Springs residential areas.

More information, including comments from organizers and participants, can be found on the Frack Up: 500 People To City Hall on Tuesday December 11th, 2012 Facebook event page.

And now that the vote on the issue has been moved to Feb. 12, a new event page has emerged: City Council Meeting to Stop Frackers, calling for more action on that date.

Many concerned citizens are hoping that City Council members will follow in Tim Leigh's footsteps, with a "no" vote.

Meanwhile, here are some images captured of today's protest signs, and one clever sticker handed out to rally participants by co-organizer Don Goede.

Many of these people take off from their jobs to do the IMPORTANT WORK of trying to educate the ignorant on the dangers of what the oil and gas industry are trying to slip into YOUR drinking water, Trojan! I should know, I was there, and yes, Mr. smart guy, I am lucky enough to have a job.
