You may know how to throw a rockin' backyard party, but Bill Layton will still kick your ass.

  • Your party doesn't have multiple beer taps in a pretty, hand-painted tub, either.

There's no contest, really: You may get 50 or so people tracking mud in and clogging your toilet. He'll get several hundred or more and direct them to a rented port-o-potty.

That's right: It's a house party so big there's a freakin' port-o-potty on site.

As I told you earlier this year, Layton, of Bite Me Gourmet Sausage repute, hosts an annual fundraiser in his wife's honor for the SADS Foundation.

The fundraiser, now in its 15th year, is a German-themed Oktoberfest celebration, complete with many hundreds of brats, multiple kegs of beer, a sizable silent auction, live music and raffles and revelry galore.

And it's open to the public, should you wish to attend next year and donate.

I had a great time this past Saturday, and followed up with Layton this morning to learn that some 450-plus people (estimated) raised a goal-breaking $10,200 for SADS this year.

Here's five photos that tell the rest of the story:
