It is a truth universally acknowledged that 80 percent of new businesses fail within their first 3 years.
(That's one of those 'statistics' you hear all the time with no citable source to be found, but oh well.)
So it may be worth noting that the humble Manitou Springs crêperie Coquette's Bistro & Bakery is celebrating its third birthday this week. And one thing that's definitely worth noting is that, according to the restaurant's newsletter, from Monday, Aug. 13, until Aug. 20, Coquette's is giving away free dessert crepes with the purchase of dinner, as a show of gratitude to the community.
Coquette's has taken several awards in the Indy's annual Best Of competition — in which you should totally go vote, by the way — including Gluten-Free-Friendly Eatery. It's even been described as "gluten-free nirvana."
To be clear: We're not endorsing Coquette's for Indy Best Of. (How uncouth!). We are saying: free crepes. Can't beat it.
