While U.S. Congressman Doug Lamborn is apparently urging Republican candidates to boycott the media, this certainly hasn't slowed the flow of campaign statements from his press office.
The latest missive from Lamborn is the boast that he has won the endorsement of Phyllis Schlafly. Remember her?
Lamborn is running in a primary for the Fifth Congressional District against banker and businessman Robert Blaha.
You can read the press statement after the jump, but before then, here are some links to the articles surrounding Lamborn's alleged efforts to punish a newspaper for subjecting him to a softball interview.
Leading Pro-Family Group Endorses Lamborn
Eagle Forum Calls Lamborn ‘proven conservative voice’
The executive director of Eagle Forum, one of the nation’s leading pro-family groups, today endorsed Congressman Doug Lamborn for reelection.
Colleen Holmes was in Colorado Springs at the Depot Event Center for an endorsement event on Thursday night.
“Doug is a stalwart in the conservative movement and a recognized leader in fighting for families, freedom, and our Constitution.
“Doug has been promoting and passing bills in Washington that will lead to greater liberty and stronger families. Many of us believe that we have a moral deficit that is at least as great, if not greater, than our budget deficit. If we can send people to Washington who are committed to public virtue, I believe we will be able to overcome our other pressing problems.
“Doug is a proven conservative voice. It is an honor to endorse him. I thank him for all that he has done to promote freedom and liberty.” – Colleen Holmes, National Executive Director, Eagle Action Political Action Committee
Eagle Forum was founded by Phyllis Schlafly, who remains president of the national organization today. Among other things, the Eagle Forum is dedicated to protecting American sovereignty and the Constitution.
