When our faithful televisions, radios or iPods drop dead, they leave us to deal with their carcasses. The Consumer Electronics Association launched greenergadgets.org, which has ZIP code-specific lists of electronic recycling locations, as well as other helpful info, to help with these situations.
About 460 million pounds of electronics have been recycled since the CEA launched a recycling initiative in April 2011. A huge number, but it’s still short of the initiative’s goal to annually recycle 1 billion pounds of electronics by 2016.
Wanna contribute? Colorado has 82 drop-off locations, five of which are right here in Colorado Springs:
750 Citadel Dr. E.
3150 New Center Point
7675 N. Academy Blvd.
4520 Centennial Blvd.
2955 New Center Point
