Colorado College is hipster central

Based on probably nothing at all, Huffington Post has ranked Colorado College as the 7th most hipster-filled university in the nation. It beat such flannel-clad stalwarts as Prescott College, the University of Chicago and Earlham College.

According to Unigo, hipsters at Colorado College are considered "happy." We don't even know what that means. Perhaps it's due to the clear mountain air that surrounds the Colorado Springs campus. In any case, the school's 1,900 students, hip or otherwise, are renowned for their intellectual bents and adventurous streaks. Let it be noted that Colorado Springs is also popular with Christian hipsters.

Not like we disagree, however. There's really no better place in the city to find 20-something trust-fundies who've never left the campus except for an occasional run to King's Chef Diner. And God love 'em too: We've had more than we deserve of highly talented CC individuals interning on our fair pages, then going on to glory and fame as associate and arts editors. (Love you, interns.)

So keep on, keeping on, CC. Those ratty, faux-vintage concert Ts, and Chucks worn down to the sole won't take themselves to class in the middle of the day, so see this recognition for what it is: a badge of honor ... or something like that.
