If you have a free morning Monday, and you want to take part in "an exciting new effort to create a regional sustainability plan for the Pikes Peak region," then you'll probably want to head over to the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments (15 S. Seventh St.).
From 9 a.m. to noon, Phase II of the Pikes Peak Sustainability Project will be "convening a meeting with arts/culture and education representatives to review the preliminary data we’ve compiled for the goals and to start the discussion of strategy development for our long-term arts/culture and education goals."
As you may already know, the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments is participating in an exciting new effort to create a regional sustainability plan for the Pikes Peak region.
Currently we are in Phase II of the Sustainability Project, during which focus groups and PPACG staff will be identifying baseline data, metrics and developing measurable strategies to reach our long-term stretch goals. The Consensus Committee (an oversight committee consisting of elected officials, stakeholder representatives and community leaders) will be responsible for approving the recommendations from the focus groups. Please see attached document regarding Phase II timeline and the goals.
