U2 frontman and flag-waver Bono is now recovering from last Friday's back surgery quickly enough that guitarist The Edge says they should be back on the road in time for the band's European tour.

That should provide at least minimal comfort to Colorado U2 fans who managed to buy tickets to the band's Denver show during the 12-1/2 seconds before it sold out.

Promoters are promising the entire tour, including the June 12 date at Invesco Field, will be rescheduled. They're also urging ticket-holders to keep on holding them.

In the meantime, we can all take consolation from long-time U2 manager Paul McGuinness's statement expressing the ever-conscientious lead singer's remorse:

"He feels robbed of the chance to do what he does best and feels like he has badly let down the band and their audience. Which is of course nonsense ... "
