Cops will be prowling this weekend for Super Bowl revelers in a "Heat Is On" DUI crackdown from 6 p.m. today to 3 a.m. Sunday.
The Colorado State Patrol warns you to choose a designated driver or face a DUI, or worse. The patrol said half of the traffic fatalities on Super Bowl weekends from 2006 to 2008 involved alcohol.
Both Springs Police and El Paso County sheriff's deputies, as well as 22 other agencies, are looking to bust anyone driving drunk or impaired this weekend.
Save yourself the indignity (see the photo below) and stay sober, or don't drive.
