The Colorado Springs Independent, the largest locally owned newspaper and media company serving the Pikes Peak region, is the "alternative voice" providing in-depth news and cultural reporting desperately needed in our heavily evangelical, military and Republican region.
The Indy wants you—to sell advertising (print and online).
Looking for someone who eats, drinks and breathes the Independent. Like you can’t go a week without a copy of it in your hot little hands. You’ve downloaded our iPad version, you read us on the web, you have the IndyScene app… you are an Indy addict.
Then you must be a rockin’ sales person. Like 2+ years experience selling print, broadcast and/or online advertising. As always you must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, be self-motivated and have bad-ass communication skills.
Your job, should you choose to accept it (and us you) is to service and grow existing customers as well as finding and signing new advertisers. New business development is a KEY FUNCTION of this position. You should also have a vehicle that will get you where you need to go.
