Mike Miles making friends in Dallas (like it or not)

Former Harrison School District 2 superintendent Mike Miles certainly brought about a lot of changes during his tenure, which ended over the summer.

But he was known as "controversial" for a reason. A lot of people didn't like him or his changes, and that included a lot of teachers, as reported here.

Since moving over to head Dallas Independent School District, Miles appears to be similarly, uh, controversial. But Miles isn't letting that keep him from making friends. In fact, according to the Dallas Morning News, Miles is forcing teachers to write about how much they like him — even if they don't.

You can read more here about Miles' latest innovations in human relations. (Remember those old-fashioned days when you had to be nice and respectful to make friends?)

Meanwhile, Harrison will soon choose its new superintendent. The finalists for that position are Andre Spencer, Regional Superintendent with the Houston Independent School District, and Dr. Jan Vesely, Vice President-Education and Achievement Services with Pearson School Achievement Services.
