Make fun of Jimmy Wales' ubiquitous puss all you want (see, for instance, IndyBlog's "Seven Faces of Wikipedia,") but that doesn't diminish the effectiveness of the Wikipedia co-founder's ever-so-slightly narcissistic fundraising campaign.
According to Wikipedia's own data, the Jimmy ads have performed exceptionally well in test runs around the world (except in Italy and Sweden, where the average contribution was $0.00).
No doubt inspired by much of the above, folks over at Uncyclopedia have launched their own "campaign" with even more Jimmy images. May the best Jimmy win!
